Roland Schueler, born in 1969 in Ried im Innkreis, attended the Music High School Linz before graduating from the technical college for violin making in Mittenwald. This was followed by journeyman years as violin maker with Konrad Stoll in Kempten im Allgäu. As master violin maker, Roland Schueler has been running his own studio in Vienna since 1999 and is a member of the group Klanggestalten.

He studied violoncello and instrumental pedagogy in Vienna under Michael Dallinger and Andreas Lindenbaum, and was a participant in the course for contemporary music "Impulse" in Graz in 2000.

For over two decades, Roland Schueler has worked with formations such as the Ensemble Wiener Collage, PHACE, the Trio EIS and the Klangforum Wien.
