Petra Ackermann, born in Klagenfurt in Carinthia, studied with Siegfried Führlinger at the
University of Music Vienna, at the Royal Academy of Music in London with John White and in
Paris with Garth Knox.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at numerous festivals.
She often performs with the Klangforum Wien and the Collegium Novum Zürich. In 2009 she received
the Prize for Music of the Province of Carinthia.
Petra Ackermann is a member of the Ensemble Wiener Collage, the Mondrian Ensemble Basel,
the Ensemble Phoenix Basel and of the Ensemble PHACE.
